This appeal was taken to reverse the final judgment rendered by the court below on a forfeited bond.

The appellant was indicted for a violation of the prohibition laAvs, and made bond with sureties to secure his appearance in the court beloAV until legally discharged from said prosecution. About t\vo Aveeks before the day Avhich had been fixed for his trial under the indictment, the appellant went to New Orleans, and was not present Avhen his case Avas called for trial under said indictment.
