ANDERSON, J.:

John H. Simmons was convicted of first degree burglary and petit larceny. He was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. We affirm.

FACTS/PROCEDURAL BACKGROUND

On October 4,1999, at approximately 2:15 a.m., Shirley Ann Thompson was in bed when she heard her door beep. Thompson had a burglar alarm system in her home on Liberty Street, but she did not have the alarm activated that evening.
