This is a writ of habeas corpus addressed to Uriah Gane, allowed and issued June 15th, 1863, upon the petition of Abraham Bressler, setting forth “ that he was held in custody by one Uriah Gane; that he was ignorant of the nature and cause of his detention; that he has not been guilty of any offence known to the laws for which he could or should be held in custody by Uriah Gane or any one else. That said Gane that day (15th of June) informed your petitioner that he had a warrant for his arrest, and asked him to consider himself in custody, and…
