Upon an indictment charging murder in the first degree by shooting “from a premeditated design to effect the death of “L. T. Walker, the plaintiff in error was found “guilty of murder in the first degree with recommendation to mercy,” and under the statute was sentenced to life imprisonment. On writ of error the only question presented is the sufficiency of the evidence to sustain a verdict of murder in the first degree. While the sentence is to life imprisonment, 'the conviction ¿s of murder in the first degree, to sustain which, on this record, there must be facts and circumstances adduced…
