DAVIDSON, Presiding Judge.

Appellant was charged with the theft of a chicken, alleged to be of the value of $2.50. The point is made that the evidence is not sufficient to support the conviction, in that it fails to prove any value of the chicken. Hnder the peculiar wording of our statute, we believe this point is well taken. Article 867, Penal Code, is, as follows: “Within the meaning of personal property which may be the subject of theft, are included all domesticated animals and birds, when they are proved to be of anjr specific value.” "Why the value of the chicken was not shown is not-…
