FINDINGS OF FACT
This case involves the tragic death of Glenn Winuk, a public spirited partner at the law firm of Holland & Knight, LLP and, at the time, an associate member of the Jericho, New York, Fire Department. According to the joint stipulations, prior to his death, and since 1979, Mr. Winuk had served, in one capacity or another as a volunteer member of the Jericho Fire Department.
