PICKETT, Judge.

_|jAfter a default judgment was confirmed against Simons Petroleum, LLC (Simons), it filed a motion for new trial that the trial court denied. Simons now appeals the default judgment and the denial of its motion for new trial. For the following reasons, the judgment is reversed, and the matter is remanded for further proceedings.
