hThe defendant, Samuel Jordan, was found guilty of the first degree murder of L.K., his infant daughter. Because the jury was unable to reach a decision regarding the imposition of the death penalty, Jordan received the mandatory sentence of life imprisonment at hard labor, without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.
