HARRELL, Judge.
Following a bench trial in the Circuit Court for Wicomico County, Larry D. Stanley was convicted of assault with intent to maim and carrying or wearing a deadly weapon. He was sentenced to respective terms of 15 years and three years, to be served consecutively. The latter sentence was suspended in favor of probation. For the reasons discussed below, we shall vacate the conviction for assault with intent to maim and reverse the conviction for carrying or wearing a deadly weapon and vacate its accompanying sentence, and remand this case for further proceedings consistent with…
