NEWMAN, District Judge.
Defendants’ motion to strike plaintiffs’ jury demand in this oil spill case raises important questions concerning the availability of federal jurisdiction for water pollution claims. The plaintiffs in this action claim damages for injuries arising out of an oil spill in Bridgeport harbor in 1970.
