Appellant, Reginald Dwayne Melton, was convicted of the offense of possession of a controlled substance, penalty group one, under one gram, in a drug-free zone, enhanced by a prior felony conviction. 1 The jury assessed Appellant’s sentence at confinement for a term of fifteen years confinement and a fine of $15,000. The trial court entered a judgment assessing a sentence of fifteen years confinement and a fine of $10,000.
