SOVEREIGN IMMUNITY STATUTORY WAIVER—INDEMNIFICATION The Court of Appeals held that for the purpose of indemnifying a defendant county school board employee, the plain language of Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article § 5-518 requires joinder of a county board of education in the litigation at all times, even if the board has for all other purposes been substantively dismissed.
