It is contended, that the Cqurt below erred in rejecting the evidence offered by the defendants, to show that the number of pieces of goods actually replevied,' was less than that mentioned in the writ of replevin, and also to show the sale of divers pieces of goods mentioned in the writ of replevin, before the issuing of the writ. 'We are .of opinion, however, that this evidence was properly rejected. It went to contradict the sheriff’s return to the writ of replevin.
