The instant lawsuit concerns rights to certain inventory and accounts receivable allegedly acquired by debtor Omni Electric Company (debtor) after the commencement, on August 22, 1984, of Chapter 11 reorganization proceedings in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri. United States of America (Government), plaintiff herein, alleges in its Complaint that defendant Standard State Bank (the Bank) 1) converted property subject to an IRS tax lien and 2) wrongfully failed to honor a levy made pursuant to that tax lien.
