The plaintiffs, members of Freight Drivers and Helpers Local No. 557, have initiated this action against their Local and its affiliated Teamsters organizations, Joint Council No. 62, the Eastern Conference of Teamsters, and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. The complaint is based on the defendants’ alleged violation of the National Freight Agreement and the Maryland, District of Columbia City Cartage Supplement Agreement (referred to hereafter as the freight agreements).
