This is a suit on a negotiable promissory note for $700, dated St. Louis, November 13, 1873, made by Merrick & Stickney, payable at plaintiff’s bank, sixty days after date, to the order of Eichmond, Bowman & Co., with interest at 10 per cent, after maturity. The note is indorsed “Eichmond, Bowman & Co.;” “ St. Louis Stoneware Company, E. T. Merrick, Treasurer.”
