On February 10, 1972, judgment was entered dissolving the marital status of the parties. The judgment awarded custody of the parties’ four minor children to appellant and effected a property division. Although no formal notice of entry of judgment was served upon appellant, counsel for respondent, on February 15, 1972, did direct a letter to appellant enclosing a check made payable to her order for the sum of $1,209.01.
