ROTH, J., pro tem.

Alice L. Canfield, plaintiff and appellant herein, is the executrix of the estate of Byron Hilton Canfield, deceased, and was appointed as such by the superior court of this state, in and for the County of Santa Barbara. She was preceded as the legal and official representative of said estate by E. G. Dodge, special administrator, who had been previously appointed by the same court. This action is one whereby plaintiff seeks damages for conversion of stock belonging to the testate, for which conversion she alleges the defendants are responsible.
