United States v. Walter H. Martin
Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit
1Opinion of the Court
RIPPLE, Circuit Judge.
Walter Martin was convicted after a jury trial of possession with intent to distribute over 50 grams of crack cocaine in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1) and (b)(l)(A)(iii). He challenges the district court’s denial, without an evidentiary hearing, of his motion to suppress narcotics seized from his vehicle during a traffic * stop. Because the stop was predicated on probable cause, and was not unreasonably prolonged, we affirm the district court’s decision to deny Mr. Martin’s suppression motion.
