The Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railway Company owns and operates a double-track line of railroad between its station in the city of Des Moines and the State Pair Grounds on the east border of the city. The defendant, Des Moines City Railway Company, owns and operates an electric street railway which crosses the Rock Island tracks and the tracks of other railroads a short distance east of the station aforesaid.
