The indictment alleged in substance that he did “on the 18th day of May, 1936, . . wilfully, knowingly, and feloniously solicit, counsel, and procure one Lamar Hill to commit the offense of perjury, in the manner and form and by means as follows, to wit: that the said accused, C. L.
