This was a suit by the appellees against the appellant to recover upon a breach of warranty of the quality of hams shipped by the appellant from Chicago, Illinois, to appellees at Glasgow, Scotland.

The evidence as to the condition of the hams when they left Chicago was ail from the appellant, and as to their condition on arrival at Glasgow, all from appellees, and neither side had any opportunity to controvert anything the other asserted upon those subjects.
