Marilyn Lisa appeals from a judgment of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, Leonard D. Wexler, Judge, upholding a final decision by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (the “Secretary”) denying her application for disability benefits under the Social Security Act (the “Act”). On appeal, Lisa contends principally that the district court erred in ruling her proffer of new medical evidence insufficient to justify remanding her case to the Secretary pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 405(g) (1988).
