Central Ceilings, Inc. (Central), brought the present action against National Amusements, Inc. (National), seeking damages sustained as a result of a breach of an oral agreement it had with National. In answers to special questions, see Mass. *173R.Civ.P. 49(a), 365 Mass. 813 (1974), a jury found that National was in breach of an oral promise to pay Central for its work. On appeal, National argues that the judge erred in denying its motions for a directed verdict, for judgment notwithstanding the verdict, and for a new trial.
