Defendant appeals by leave of this Court from his conviction under Ann Arbor City Code § 10:87(1) of operating a vehicle under the influence of intoxicating liquor (OUIL). * 1 We affirm.

Early in the morning of May 27, 1994, an Ann Arbor police officer observed defendant drive through a flashing red light without attempting to stop or even slow his car, leading the officer to initiate a traffic stop.
