This is a jactitation suit wherein the plaintiff asserts ownership and actual physical possession for more than one year of the SW 1/4 of NE 1/4 and the S 1/2 of NW 1/4, of NE 1/4, Section 35, Township 20 North, Range 7 West, in the Parish of Claiborne, Louisiana, containing sixty acres. He charges that the defendant, John W. Zappa, is slandering his title to the land by claiming ownership thereof and by having prepared, signed by him and registered in the conveyance records of said parish, an affidavit, dated August 30, 1946, wherein he deposed and said that he was the owner of the land…
