MEMORANDUM OPINION

FLAUM, District Judge.

Before the court is the defendants’ motion to dismiss the plaintiff’s civil rights action for failure to state a claim upon which relief may be granted. 1 The plaintiff’s complaint alleges that the defendant school board’s determination to relieve the plaintiff of his duties as principal and reassign him to a regular teaching position violated his federally protected rights.
