This suit was commenced on February 17, 1966, in the Circuit Court of Garland County, Arkansas, by plaintiffs against Mary E. Johnson, also known as Mrs. G. B. Johnson, to recover damages for personal injuries allegedly proximately caused by the negligent operation of an automobile driven by Mary E. Johnson on June 22, 1965. The case was removed from the state court, and the United States was substituted as party defendant under the provisions of 28 U.S.C.A. § 2679.
