MEMORANDUM DECISION ON MOTION TO REOPEN
ELIZABETH S. STONG, Bankruptcy Judge.
In late September 2005, Fidel and Cora-ba Arana sued Mount Sinai Hospital and another defendant in New York State Supreme Court for medical malpractice. They allege that Mr. Arana has serious and permanent injuries caused by Mount Sinai’s failure to treat a staph infection, including vision loss, partial paralysis, and brain damage, and they seek more than $1 million in damages. Less than three weeks later, on October 15, 2005, the Ara-nas were among the thousands of debtors in this District to file a bankruptcy case…
