City of Chicago v. Mecartney

This is a supplemental petition, filed by the city of Chicago on February 20, 1897, under section 53 of article 9 of part 1 of the City and Village act, (1 Starr & Curt. Ann. Stat.—2d ed.—p. 778,) praying that steps be taken for an assessment to raise the money necessary to pay the compensation and damages, theretofore awarded for property taken or damaged for opening South Park avenue from Fifty-fifth street to Fifty-sixth street.
