One Engelbercht, a widower, with his thnee children, occupied a farm in Polk County. The farm was the property of the wife of Engelbercht, who apparently had died intestate. The three children had all attained their majority, and were unmarried. On or about April 1, 1921, a note of $2,500 was given to one Thomas. This note was signed by the senior Engelbercht and his two children .Gertie and Freddie, and purports to be signed by Alie Engelbercht by his- mark.
