Haynie was indicted on April 15,1976, for the offense of aggravated assault by shooting and pled not guilty. With leave of court he filed a motion to compel discovery, and before trial an in camera inspection of the file then in the possession of the district attorney was held, and the motion overruled. The case went to trial on April 27, but a mistrial was declared and the case was set to be tried again on May 7. Prior to trial Haynie’s attorney filed a motion to produce demanding production of a pistol which he had in his possession at the time of the alleged assault, the bullet…
