Appeals by defendants from an order of tlie district court for Rock county, Gould, J., denying a motion for a new trial and also from a judgment in favor of plaintiff for $144.60.

This action was brought to recover the value of a mink-skin overcoat, which the plaintiff alleges was unlawfully converted by the defendants to their own use in the month of November, 1892. The value of the overcoat is alleged to be $200. The answer is a general denial.

The plaintiff became the owner of the overcoat by purchase from the defendants in the fall of the year 1888, and paid therefor the sum of $115. In the fall of the year 1891 the plaintiff delivered the coat to the defendants, who agreed to send it away for repairs, and plaintiff was to pay the charges of $20 when the coat was…
