This is a damage suit for running over and hilling mules.

The plaintiffs allege that they are the owners of the Willswood Plantation situated in the Parish of Jefferson, upon wh^ch they raise sugar cane; that the tracks of the defendant company run for several miles through their plantation; that their refinery is situated upon one side of said tracks and upon the other side of said tracks are the "Negro Quarters"; that there is a public road leading from the refinery to the quarters and that said road crosses defendant's tracks; that this crossing is much used by…
