On September 24,1941 Alice Juckins, also known as Alice Pozen, filed a statement of claim in the municipal court of Chicago against the Professional Service Corporation, asking judgment in the sum of $74.33 for wages due for services rendered to defendant as a typist and relief switchboard operator, and for a reasonable sum for attorney’s fees. The defendant filed its appearance on October 8, 1941. The record shows that on April 22, 1942 the case was called for trial at 10:00 a. m., that both sides answered “ready”; that the case…
