LEAVITT, District Judge.

As the questions in these cases arise on nearly the same facts, and depend on the same principles, they will be considered together. They are suits in admiralty, brought by the libellant as master, for the owners of the steamboat Princess No. 3, to recover freight alleged to be due for the transportation, in the first *195named case, of a large quantity of molasses, and in the other, of sugar, from New Orleans to Cincinnati.
