AHRENS, Judge.

In this interpleader action, Linda Hearon, appellant, appeals from the trial court’s judgment awarding the proceeds of a life insurance policy to Mary Hearon, respondent. We reverse and remand.

The facts are not in dispute. Johnnie L. Hearon (decedent) was a member of the United States Army Reserve and an insured under a Servicemen’s Group Life Insurance (SGLI) policy. Decedent and respondent married on May 29, 1970; the couple divorced on August 23, 1978.
