Plaintiff’s decedent, a press operator at Molloy Manufacturing, was fatally injured when a piece of fractured metal shot out from an unguarded press, piercing his chest. Plaintiff widow sued defendant workmen’s compensation insurance carrier as a third-party tortfeasor. MCLA 418.827; MSA 17.237(827). She alleged that defendant’s negligent safety inspection proximately caused her husband’s death.
