MA1 1ER OF A— In VISA PETITION Proceedings A-11959587 Decided by Board June 1, 1962 Visa petition—Section 205(c), 1952 act, as amended—Effect of revocation of visa petition based on sham marriage. Visa petition filed by beneficiary's first wife in 1959 accorded him nonquota status as the spouse of a United States citizen. In 1961, approval of the petition was revoked, and on appeal to the Board it was established that the marriage was contracted for the purpose of evading the immigration laws.
