This action arises out of the sale by the defendant to the plaintiff of a used automobile. The plaintiff sought recovery on a number of theories, including breach of express and implied warranties under the Uniform Commercial Code (G. L. c. 106, §§ 2-313(1)[a], 2-314, and 2-315), violation of G. L. c. 93A, §§ 2(a) and 9, and deceit. After a trial in the Superior Court before a judge without a jury, judgment entered for the defendant on all *936the claims except the one under G. L. c. 93A.
