Forest Preserve District of Cook County filed a petition to condemn certain land. Harry Cohen and . Esther R. Cohen, his wife (hereinafter sometimes referred to as appellants), as owners of a certain part of the land; the trustee in a trust deed executed by the Cohens; James Leonard, and Phillip F. Walger, were made respondents. Upon a trial of the condemnation proceedings a jury returned a verdict awarding “to the owner or owners of and party or parties interested in the lots, pieces and parcels of land . . . together with the improvements thereon” $6,000, “as full compensation to the owner…
