This is a bastardy proceeding by the mother of an illegitimate child, the appellee, against the alleged father, the appellant. There was a verdict and judgment in the court below, against the appellant in the sum of eighteen hundred dollars, which he was required to pay in monthly installments for a period of fifteen years for the support of the child; and the judgment as provided by the statute directed that appellant give security J or the payment of said sum and in default thereof he be committed to jail and there held until such bond should…
