Because of the statutory law governing the Domestic Relations Court of the City of New York, particularly its Family Court Division, many problems seeking solution create anomalous situations. This court and the Supreme Court of the State of New York have concurrent jurisdiction to determine the extent of provision for support of dependents (wife and children), by one chargeable under law with their support. Sometimes that creates anomalous situations.
