The defendant, Elizabeth Paden, was charged in a two-count information with the offenses of attempt (armed robbery) (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1981, ch. 38, par. 8 — 4(a)) and armed violence (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1981, ch. 38, par. 33A— 2).
