In an action to recover damages for medical malpractice, the defendant Brookdale Hospital Medical Center appeals from an order of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Clemente, J.), entered September 10, 1992, which denied its motion for summary judgment dismissing the complaint.

Ordered that the order is modified, on the law, by deleting the provision thereof which denied the motion in its entirety, and substituting a provision granting the motion to the extent of dismissing so much of the complaint as is based on alleged acts of malpractice occurring prior to July 5, 1980, and otherwise denying…
