Kevin Clanton, a 36-year-old African-American man, filed this medical malpractice action under the Federal Tort Claims Act (“FTCA”) in February 2015. Mr. Clan-ton alleges that he received negligent medical care for his severe hypertension from nurse practitioner Denise Jordan at Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation (“SIHF”).
