The defendant Lawrence Young, an indigent, and Maurice Sims were charged on information, tried by a jury and convicted of the crime of robbery in the first degree. (K. S. A. 21-527) Defendant moved for a new trial and the motion was overruled. The trial court entered judgment and sentenced defendant to confinement in the Kansas State Penitentiary for a term of not less than ten years nor more than twenty-one years.
