LANSING, Judge.
Michael Angelo Hernandez appeals from his judgment of conviction for aggravated battery, which arose from a fight in a convenience store parking lot. Hernandez contends that the district court erred in failing to grant his motion to dismiss the charges on the ground that Hernandez’s statutory and constitutional rights to a speedy trial had been violated.
