Plaintiff, Congregation of the Passion, Holy Cross Province, brought suit against the defendant, Touche Ross & Company, in the circuit court of Cook County alleging damages resulting from defendant’s preparation of financial statements for plaintiffs use. The jury returned verdicts in favor of plaintiff and against defendont for $3.9 million on the negligence count and $1.5 million on the breach of contract count.
