Mary L. McGlensey, who died in 1898, devised a part of her estate in trust for the benefit of her grandson, Charles E. McGlen*520sey, for life, with remainder after his death to his issue, and as he died in 1922 without issue, an event not provided for by the testatrix, an intestacy resulted as of the date of her death, in consequence of which a share of the estate was awarded to the executors of Charles, who was the only child of his father, Charles W.
